For those of you who live in general vicinity of a Rivian hub and have taken delivery of a Rivian, do you go to the hub now and then to participate in programs, converse with other Rivian owners, etc, even after delivery? Genuinely curious if the hubs are being used that way.

That was what I was thinking. I was hoping that they had found a way to use them to not only promote to potential new buyers, but to also build loyalty with existing owners. I think that is the goal, but not sure it is happening/working yet.

I visited because my wife wanted to check out the R1S before she committed. It was a cool place especially for folks curious about Rivian. She felt like it was informative.

Well they are all pretty new. There is only a handful open at this point.

When I heard they were planning to do this I first thought it was a waste of resources they could be putting into their service centers. I attended the Denver opening on Thursday and 200 people showed up! That night was organized by the Rocky Mountain Rivian Club, and after seeing the turnout and talking to the Rivian employees there, I think I get it now.

Right now Rivian is really trying to foster the growth of regional clubs, so they can serve as a meeting place sometimes. The hubs also serve as a laid back place for people curious about Rivian to stop by, learn about their vehicles and take a test drive. They might even run into current owners who are some of Rivian’s best sales people right now.

After seeing that big a group of Rivian fans in one place I have to admit it might be a home run. That place was buzzing with excitement. There was a place for the kids to hang out, some great interactive displays showing regional trips one might try out with their new EV, the physical displays that show all the colors and options and a section With Rivian swag for purchase.

I get all that and have been to the original space in Venice. It is very cool. I was just wondering if they have figured out a way to get you keep going back....keep you in the brand. Not just for opening day festivities.

Things like maybe have a class on BEV's and the technology behind them, various ways to charge a BEV, beginner/intermediate/advanced offroading classes, maintenance classes, etc...

Maybe have some classes exclusive to owners but then others for public.

Just something to keep building the brand loyalty.

I think that is the idea, but not sure if they are executing on it yet.

It’s a fair question! I don’t know if they can accomplish that yet. Personally I would need a good reason to drive 45-60 minutes to downtown Denver for anything, but for those who live closer it might be less of a trek. I would go back for a class or if they did some community service, etc.

I did get the impression they do have a plan even if they didn’t share all of it with me while I was asking them questions.

That is another good idea. Rivian organized community service projects organized at Hubs. I love it!

I would go to those too! Both those guys are top notch and would be fun to hear talk.

I went to the grand opening of our new Denver hub this past week, but I don't see myself ever needing to go again unless they had some specific event, guest speaker, etc. that I would be interested in attending.

Our local club (Emerald Rivian club) has had multiple meet-ups there, some sponsored by Rivian, and others self-funded and organized.

Sometimes there's a speaker, sometimes just a dinner. There is sitting room and it does encourage lounging (more so than A Tesla showroom, less so than a Capital One banking lounge), but certainly isn't a coffee shop.

Never been to my local one (Vancouver), but if I happened to be in the mall in which it's located I'd stop by. But no plans to make a specific trip for it. I generally hate malls, so any attractive force to check out the Hub is offset by a strong repellant anti-curiosity "mall" force...
