Rivian needs MAJOR help with inventory logistics!

Low and behold on June 1st, my morning ritual of checking the available rigs landed me a gold mine of El Cap Granites - a couple with EXACTLY my reservation configuration. Wait what?? Exactly? How? I was never notified that there was a match to my exact model and my delivery estimate was still off in la la land. Why wouldn't Rivian notify reservation holders that there was an exact match available vs continuing to wait?

Yeah, agree. I was willing to give Rivian a pass on this 6 months ago as startup challenges, but at this point I can't see any 100% justifiable reason why a preorder config shows up in the shop without first being offered to a preorder holder with that exact config.

Their system is not capable of matching up inventory with pre orders is my guess. Two seperate systems that don't talk to each other....another guess.

Yeah the only thing that makes sense here besides gross incompetence (which I would assume isn't the case) is they are putting them in the shop on the chance that more get sold to recent buyers at current pricing (vs early low pricing orders).
