Rivian Off Road School should be offered

A buddy of mine just bought a Ford Raptor a few months back, and he was invited to the Ford Off-Road School in Utah. This is designed for Raptor owners to learn how to off-road and test the limits of their Raptors. I am sure there are many other types of off-road schools, but this being specific to teaching the capabilities of the truck is really cool. It was around $500 for him and his family to take the course. I just saw that Ford is also opening a Bronco school in Tennessee.

With the R1T and R1S, it would be awesome if Rivian had a program like this to showcase its capabilities and connect Rivian owners. The Rivian Spaces are nice, but this would add to the Adventure Forever theme they are going after, teaching skills in real-time while also taking time to teach about conservation and protecting the wilderness when out adventuring.

Yea. would be sweet if Rivian could offer something similar.
I went to Off-Rodeo with a friend who purchased a Bronco, and it was awesome. I would love something factory backed that could help teach us to stretch the limits of a R1 on tested trails.
I've seen a few third party schools, that offer classes on here, but it just not like the same thing Ford can offer. Rivian probably does not have the throughput to offer something like this yet, but we can dream.

I recall back in 2021 pre IPO Rivian mentioning preserves and outposts as well as trail routes. All got cut to save money but if they could work with a third party provider that would be good.

I would take this in a heartbeat. Many of us would like to off road, but do not have the background or skillset to do so without risking harm to the R1, others, or ourselves. Would love to take a course using even my own R1T. And, I'd be glad to pay for it!

That's a great idea. They could do pop ups at events too, I did a little off road "test drive" that Land Rover had set up at an IMSA event at Watkins Glen a few years back. Low cost way to get enthusiast butts in seats.

I think Rivian (or RCA) had a class of off road driving instructors or something like that for local clubs, I don't know all the specific details.

I would do this if offered, but the pragmatic part of me thinks that a small, new company like this needs to keep its laser focus on building a sustainable business.

Look at what they have ahead of them - complete the launch of the Gen2 R1's, launch R2, buildout the GA factory, launch R3, etc.

I, for one, want to be confident that Rivian will be around to service and maintain my R1 for the foreseeable future...
