Why would Rivian have these vehicles at the factory and not distributed to service centers? Parking space at the factory is valuable. I think this is wishful thinking on the part of the fanboys.

It is also where many of the engineers are, so if they wanted to inspect the vehicles to see what failed and how, they would be available.

I've seen multiple articles quote sources that said that the blocked off vehicles were ones that were awaiting repair or scrap. So ones that didn't pass QC

I wonder if the the EV numbers include the Bolt where the batteries were built incorrectly and there were many fires? But the reason is probably irrelevant. In general the news sure does make a big deal over a burning EV.
