Hi Folks,
I know I’m not the first (or last) person to complain about this, but I just have to say it out loud.
I’ve tweaked the EQ and for maybe 30-50% of songs it helps make it sound okay, at least with Apple Music. Spotify, etc sound terrible still.
I’m not a major audiophile, but former radio DJ and general music lover. I just could not imagine the sound in this brand new, relatively fancy, electric truck to be worse than my 2016 Pilot with the regular sound system that I traded in.
Everything else about the truck I love. I try and drive it every day. But I am genuinely upset about the audio quality. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but if Rivian is listening at all, please please focus on improving this or I think folks are going to be turned off. I think it’s a pretty easy logic for most people - if they can’t figure out a solid sound system at this price point, what else might not be great about it? I think they would be wrong, but it seems like a basic feature these days.
Crossing my fingers over here so I can justify trading my Model Y for an R1S at some point.
