RIVIAN PLEASE READ: Defect with Climate Schedule

I have my RIS (Gen 1) scheduled to pre-condition (warm) to 72 degrees on weekday mornings before we head to school. My wife likes to blast the heat into the high 70s when she drives it, and every time she does, the next morning the car is pre-heating up to her last set temp, not the scheduled 72 degrees. Has anyone else experienced this?

Rivian does not read this forum (or if they do, it's very, very rare).

Submit feedback in the Rivian app, or reach out to service team via an appointment - from there you can send messages to the Service Center team, even if you end up cancelling the appointment.

Also, have you tried soft or full restarts on the vehicle and seeing if it happens again?

Gen 1 R1S, my scheduled climate settings have not activated in mornings since (I think) 2 or 3 software updates ago. Have soft and hard reset multiple times, often right after a software update, deleted and set them up again, just got a new cell phone and PAK set up, nothing seems to get it to work. It's hard to remember to manually warm the cabin 20 minutes before every trip on these cold Wisconsin mornings.

Weird, mine has been working just fine. Maybe delete the schedules, do one or both restarts, then build them again?

When I got the climate scheduling update in January 2024, it simply would not work on my 2023 Gen 1 R1T. I would schedule it in the app or in the truck, and it would not turn on as it was supposed to. Every morning, I'd walk out to a cold truck, despite setting the climate schedule. I tried everything (resets, delete/re-insall app, etc). Rivian tried several things. Finally, they concluded there was an issue with two parts of the truck not communicating properly, which necessitated them replacing the big battery, because the "broken" part was inside the battery pack (?). (I didn't really understand this, but I'm not an engineer.) After they replaced the battery, the climate scheduling worked!

Hopefully that's not anyone's issue on this thread, but I had trouble finding other people with the same problem, so just throwing this out there...

(Frustratingly, that wasn't the only "big issue" I had with that R1T, and Rivian is actually in the process of repurchasing it; I'm picking a pre-owned Gen 1 R1S from them tomorrow. I've LOVED driving my Rivian when it works, and I'm very thankful that Rivian is making it very painless for me to get into a vehicle which will hopefully be more reliable.)
