I'm not that surprised, but I wish they had done it. Seems like it could be a warranty nightmare. It must have two different ways to power it. One being the vehicles outlets, but the other, and I'm honestly shocked it never made it to the Gen 2 refresh, was the embed power connectors in the roof rack attachment points.
On the R2 and in patents from last year, they utilized that power pickup to energize the cross bars for several different powered accessories that were controlled via the internal display. Like the tent here and also future rack embedded with light bar etc.

I can only imagine the cost of an integrated crossbar lighting system. That would likely be pushing 1000-1200 but it would be such a fantastic accessory for nighttime adventuresI'm not that surprised, but I wish they had done it. Seems like it could be a warranty nightmare.
I was thinking closer to $5k but based on Rivian pricing $7,500 wouldn't shock meMy guess is the tent is going to cost 7500 usd.
5k would be great, but it's too bespoke with lots of internal features beyond just the typical hard shell camper.I was thinking closer to $5k but based on Rivian pricing $7,500 wouldn't shock me
