Interesting, but I am not concerned. I am free to purchase $250 of items in the shop with my points. I am in no way restricted from gifting that item to anyone I desire after the purchase...

My only gripe with this is that they make the referral hard to input. There's only one shot to add the code in when an initial deposit is made, and it's not super obvious where to add it/easy to miss. Totally my fault that I missed it, I was on the phone with the guide, trying to rush a deposit to snag an R1S that finally popped up with the spec we wanted and just blew by it.

Supposedly, they're going to fix it, but this should not be so difficult. Maybe just make the referral one of the initial couple of steps after making the deposit. As it sits right now, there's a chance they come back and say "sorry" in which case I may just kill the purchase. Hate to write off a deposit, but it's ridiculous that they (or I) can't add a referral right after a deposit is made.

That is pretty frustrating. I do not see why your guide could not just add it for you after the fact. Has anyone else fun in to this and not been able to add it later? Seems like poor customer service on Rivian's part and I would keep on them about it. I would think they would make things right for you.

1-Can points only be used in the gear shop or can I use them at a service center?
2-Any new updates/insights on when or if the powered tonneau cover will be available for separate purchase?
