Rock stuck under auto tonneau cover cap

So far my auto cover has worked ok. But now there is a rock stuck under it that creates a new scratch the length of the cover every time i open it.

I haven't been able to find any threads or videos on opening up the cap. Just pry? Are there fasteners?

Maybe I need to remove the entire trim cap on one side of the bed to get to one side of fasteners to raise up the cover enough?

For those that encounter this maybe this will help. There's enough flex in the cap for it to get in there so theres enough to get it out.
