I don't doubt there is a potential for salt water intrusion into a battery pack, depending on the design, but since Rivians can drive through water that comes well over the battery pack in depth, I'd be comfortable making an assumption it's a non-issue for us.
The road from here to Seattle goes through Raymond WA, where it floods with salt water 3-6 times a year during king tides.

When I asked about whether our Rivians could get through when others can't, two or three Rivian service people all said the same thing -- R1's are built to drive through about 3' of fresh water, but NOT salt water!

I wouldn't take any chances with this one....

Best wishes!

Let’s look at the flip side. If you had a Honda civic or even a Mercedes S class ICE vehicle flooded. Do you shampoo the rugs and buy air fresheners and keep driving it for 10 years? Do the electrical harnesses fail any differently? Basically I feel any car is just damaged goods period after this kind of flood.

After hurricane Ian there were several EVs that ignited. A Tesla parked in a garage under a condo on Marco Island burned and caused the entire structure to be condemned (heat to the rebar and concrete). That caused new condo association bylaws to prevent parking electric vehicles beneath some of the condos there. A Lucid Air ignited while driving out of our neighborhood after flood water subsided. This was all salt water flooding. No Rivians were involved in any reported fires.
My thoughts are with OP for Milton which as of now is headed his way. 2 hurricanes in 2 weeks is a little much.
