"Save" vs "Finalize"

Hi All!

I got an email asking me to configure my R1S (yay!), and when I started configuring there was a little pop-up that said to click "save" when I was done. All I see is "Finalize" ... am I just blind? If not, is "finalizing" final, or can I come back and make changes? Would be nice not to have to re-select everything each time I want to come back and discuss color choices w/ people.

So just got off chat w/ Rivian, and apparently there is no "save" button.

I saw your question yesterday but I went through that process in June and honestly that feels like 10 years ago at this point

Correct, once you configure its "finalized". You still might be able to get shop access and pick from the stock or your guide might ask if you want to edit certain things. Otherwise you just wait until they match you to your configuration.

Well I finally finalized! (woo!) And there is a confirmation screen after the "finalize" button that makes you confirm your deposit is no longer refundable etc. So you won't definitely won't do anything accidental, but you don't get to save either... no matter, I got pretty good at clicking through the options by this point.
