Discussion of SEC football and tailgating meetups in one of the other threads got me thinking what a great idea this would be and how we likely have most schools represented within this community.
I have dual loyalty (Kentucky 05 and Auburn 09) but native Kentuckian and keep UK season tickets for football. And I’m always looking for an excuse to revisit Auburn. There are plenty of stadiums I’ve never visited though. In hopes of Rivian deliveries for many by fall of next year, who’s up for planning some meetups in the future?

I’ll throw out an October Keeneland horse racing/Saturday night SEC football game double header as my suggestion. Other ideas?

I'm down, college football is one of my very favorite things.

We joined the SEC right as I started having children (silly me), so I haven't traveled to any SEC away games. I'd like to visit every SEC stadium, and I'm overdue...

Great idea!

I'm a Longhorn, and I believe we'll be able to attend a local SEC game here in Austin at some point in the near future. Hopefully I'll have had my R1S for a while at that point!

Bama next year, but not sure I'd want to watch that one live if I was you.

It will be interesting to see when the move to the SEC actually happens!

I came hear to wonder why the Securities and Exchanges Commission would be tailgating. (Then I googled it) Sorry don't follow any sports ?

@Kunzene -Great idea! South Carolina Gamecock checking in! We attend most games when possible. Next year would be ideal and enable some time to "lock in" our Rivian tailgate setup.

@skyote - Welcome to the SEC!

Just because I live in Austin, don't mistake me for one of those burnt orange (what a putrid color) fans. I'm maroon & white, have been in the SEC since 2012, and we're permanent cross division opponents to your Gamecocks. Gig 'Em! ?

Well, I don't want to mash the "Like" button for an Agg, but it sure looks like a Gig 'Em to me. So you get one!

Sounds awesome! I’m a UGA Bulldog but live in Knoxville. Both daughters went to UT, so I’ll pull for them when not playing the Dawgs (although not much to get excited about for the last 10 years)

I’d be down for a Rivian tailgating event at any SEC venue! Count me in!

As a Clemson Alum I object to the implication in this thread that the SEC has a monopoly on tailgating in the SE.

I am very excited about the idea of being able to ditch the generator when tailgating, although it won't stop me from having to hear everyone else's generators unfortunately.

Has anybody done the math on using an EV to power your tailgate set up instead of a generator?

I have, at best, a rudimentary understanding of power draw but my back of the envelope math looks like this:

LED TV: 100w
Soundbar: 200w
Crockpot: 250w
Dish Receiver: 25w

Total power use: 575w
12 hours runtime at 575w = 6,900wh (6.9 kwh)

Can anyone who actually knows what they are talking about verify that the methodology there is correct?
