The last time I dropped off (October 28) they had me book >2 months in advance, didn't have a loaner for me, and kept it for sitting in the parking lot for 10 days before rolling it in to work on late on Thursday (Nov 6). Once they did get it in they were done with it in the next day. So that ultimately wasted (/cost) the company ~$500 for a rental they didn't need to spend if they had their stuff together.

On my Christmas drive (less than 6 weeks later) I got an alert that I'm overdue for a tire rotation. Admittedly if I was paying attention I'd have known that and had them do it in November. But they really should have caught that and suggested / offered to do it a few hundred miles early while it was already there for the other stuff.

My windshield just developed a crack (while parked with the defrost on). I used the app to request an appointment and added that tire rotation, but the earliest they can do it is Feb 11.

I can't wait that long for a 2' long crack so I guess Safelite is getting that business. And I'll be leaving for somewhere warm long before then, so I also have to find someplace else to do the rotation too.

Growing pains.

But they really, really need to get their operational business into much better shape before R2.

I'm in SLC. The service center here leaves much to be desired. The problems I've had requiring service (11 since March and 5k miles) combined with the service quality is a major reason I won't be buying out the lease.
