This comment is pretty unhelpful. I made my reservation over 3 years ago. There was very little info available. When I picked my car up over 15 months ago the only thing they noted they would eventually charge for was the WiFi hotspot. Your main point seems to be that you aren’t aware of any companies giving away streaming app integration. My concern is that outside of streaming apps there’s no other options on the R1S. Paying to stream YouTube while in park or to have satellite images aren’t particularly compelling reasons to spend $15/mo.If carplay and an XM antenna were key features for you, a Rivian probably wasn't the best choice. BMW charges for connectivity for anything that requires streaming data as well as many of their remote vehicle control features that we don't get charged for. I used to pay 99/year for my 3-series and that didn't include the semi-annual map updates.
Very few cars are giving cellular data connectivity away for free forever, and I don't know of _any_ that include streaming app integration. If it's just not worth it for you, that's fair... but nobody should have been misled that they wouldn't start charging eventually.
Same goes with most cars. I’ve got radio and Bluetooth in my Highlander. If I want satellite radio I need to pay for it.This comment is pretty unhelpful. I made my reservation over 3 years ago. Constructive criticism? Great! Bring it on! Makes the cars even better.
Self entitled whining and threatening about a change what has been known for years? F off
Daddy, I want an Oompa Loompa NOW.
Again, another unhelpful comment as satellite radio requires a subscription and therefore has a cost. You may want to think before you post.Same goes with most cars. I’ve got radio and Bluetooth in my Highlander. If I want satellite radio I need to pay for it.
You might want to provide an example of your claims before you belittle people.Again, another unhelpful comment as satellite radio requires a subscription and therefore has a cost. You may want to think before you post.
