Silver Window Trim Fell Off!

On BOTH sides during a car wash today. LOL. There was no adhesive, broken clips, etc on both sides.

Wow, funny! So how does it appear that it should be secured? Just snap in the edges? Just curious, could you post a picture of the back side of the trim? Is it silver/chrome colored too, i.e. is the chrome baked into the plastic or just painted on the top side?

It’s plastic. Just a small strip of adhesive about as thick as pantyhose. Clips into a hole in a few places.

Exact same thing happened to me. I tore off whatever trim was left sticking so it wouldn't damage the vehicle. Then I just made an appointment for mobile service. Drove around for a month without the trim then Rivian fixed it in my garage. Under warranty so no charge.

Good to know, thanks. Hopefully the second time they secure it with more than lightweight adhesive.
