Simple DYI gear tunnel straps

I keep my tonneau cover bag in my gear tunnel but wanted to have it up against the back wall so I can get stuff in and out quickly and have it out of the way. I got some simple Commander Hooks and adjustable Bungee cords. I used some push pin rivets to hold the hooks to the plastic trim. It holds with or without the tonneau cover in the bag.

Are the hooks anchored to existing holes beneath the panel, or did you drill your own?

Great idea, BTW. If I were to get a tonneau, devising a way to prevent it from tipping over would be a priority.

I drilled holes into the plastic trim piece and that it what it is secured to with a commander strip on the back to also hold it down. It is light duty at best but makes the gear tunnel accessible without having to move the tonneau bag around or putting things on top of it.

It doesn't interfere at all and opens and closes just as it did without the hooks.

I am not sure what size Push Pin Rivet I used as I just found some in my collection that was larger and would help secure the hooks.
