Thanks everyone. Reached out to discount tire and they said no problem.
If you get you snow tires mounted on a dedicated set of wheels at Discount Tire, they will install/uninstall premounted winter wheels/tires for free in the Fall/Spring. Much better than having to pay to dismount tires on one set of wheels in the Spring/Fall. You don't have to buy the wheels from Discount Tire so buy a good set of aftermarket, or used Rivian wheels if you find a set locally.

Are dedicated snow tires that much better than the triple peak AT pirelli’s? I live in MI and used the stock AT through ice, sleet and feet of snow at our Lake Michigan cabin with no issues at all. Just wondering when and how much better snow tires would be. I loved the OEM AT so much getting the new Scorpions in a week since have 42k now and tread not where it needs to be for a MI winter. Hoping they are as good or better than my OEM set on my 2022 R1T
In my experience the stock Pirelli ATs are comically bad (in a scary way) as soon as you introduce any grades to the equation as we have almost everywhere in VT. Maybe you’ve gotten away with it in MI, though I still wouldn’t want them on flat ground with how bad they corner/stop in slush and ice and/or when temps are very low or hovering around freezing.

The difference is night and day. I’m actually surprised they are even capable of being 3 Peak rated. My Nokian Outpost nATs are much better in winter conditions, but I still switch to Hakkapeliitta LT3s, which are fantastic. I kept the Outposts on for a bit longer than usual last year just to see how they compare. They were significantly better than the Pirellis, but still required a much more thoughtful/careful driving approach.

Hakkas (or good winter tires generally) just inspire so much more confidence and allow me to rally on back roads in the right conditions with much more controlled vehicle dynamics allowing for predictable and intentional loss of traction (drifting), or keeping things completely tame, safe, and fully locked in.
