I received my RivianRoamer note that I was ready for the new software update on July 16th (RivianRoamer ROCKS, BTW), and I waited for it to be downloaded. I believe that it may have started to download, but the connection was so poor, it stopped, and it has not retried again. Is there a way to force it to download? I am a connect+ subscriber, but the signal strength at home is just one bar (although that seems to have been enough for previous downloads to succeed). Any thoughts?

Related - since the connect+ signal (AT&T) was so weak, I tried connecting to my home internet (which I had never tried before), but it fails (with no info on why!) for both the 2.4 and 5.0 connections (I do see signal strength). (Also, after each try and failure, it wipes the password, which is really annoying!). Anyone have similar problems connecting to external internet?

Any help will be welcome! Thanks!

hey there thank you!

best thing you can do is either use a hotspot or disable WiFi and wait overnight it will try again.

I don't have access to a hot spot right now, so I went ahead and disabled WiFi. Can I assume that it checks each night to see if it can download, until it succeeds?

On a positive note, I'm now getting two bars in my driveway rather than one, which is hopefully sufficient for the download.

I am also unable to download the new upgrade .... wifi will not connect. I am parked about 15 feet from my router and show strong signal. Tried connecting to my neighbors wifi .... and R1T would not connect. Also tried rebooting infotainment and the whole truck ... still no connection to wifi.

Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Make sure you aren't using band steering. Have a dedicated SSID at 2.4GHz and make sure you don't have any special characters in the SSID.

The only issue I have expereinced with a few recent updates is that Apple music and Spotify won't connect and I have to just let it sit for a bit. We have the connect+ as well.

I had a similar issue in that my 25 R1S Dual (picked up in June) said that the WiFi was only 1 bar and kept disconnecting (the wifi was about 40 ft and through the garage door), so I put a Ubiquiti Access Point (AC-M) outside on the Garage Wall, about 10 Ft from the R1s and the issue seemed to have gone away...
