Just FYI. I had an appointment for 11/6 and received a call from Rivian that they estimate needing to hold the R1T for 4 weeks (!). I suggested that this isn’t really how appointments work. They offered Dec 5, which they said they’d only need to hold the truck for 10 days. Yes, I suggested we just make the appointment for December 15. Apparently, this was too much logic. Not sure when I will drop the truck off. Good thing I don’t have anything major to service. Hope this gets resolved soon. Not a good look.

SSF service center is incompetent. I'm doing the drive to Sacramento or San Jose from now on.

Trust me, the San Jose location is no different from the SSF location. Same unresponsive and incompetent folks.

I really think someone at the top in charge of the Bay Area locations need to get sacked and start over with personnel.

I got and appointment 2 1/2 months out and then the night b4 I was to take it the next morning I got a call. They were reviewing what work was to be done and they got two the things to fix wrong and the third one was a no brainer, install a spare tire package. But, the best part was they told me they would keep the R1T for 1-2 weeks to do about 2 hours or less worth of work. To their credit the did pay for an uber to the Enterprise Car Rental and for the rental car...I tracked the location of the R1T while they had it and by the 2:30pm that day they had finished the work in the shop moved it outside to charge it to 70% and park it. It stayed in the same spot until i drove it off the lot. I called them to see if it was completed and they were a bunch of fools...i did pickup up at 5:30pm that day (the next day after dropping it off). Then when checking out what they had done I found they had taken the bed/cargo area rubber mat I had put in out of the cargo area and didn't replace it. Another sh*t show then occurred to find it...eventually they found it after bringing something else out first.... I don't trust this service center at all...to their credit they did get me a rental EV at Enterprise and a ride to the rental car place and I was allowed to drop off the rental car at the Rivian service center....

Hmm, I may pass on my upcoming appt around Thanksgiving.

When did they give you an estimate of the holding time? A few days before the appt? Did you have to proactively call them to ask or they called you?

My appt is the week of Thanksgiving so not having my R1S would blow. I may be better of by moving if they are going to keep it for more than 2 days.
