Hi all!

I am wondering if anyone has insight into whether or not Rivian will enable the main center display to have different carve outs for different information. For example, half of the screen can be navigation, while the other half can be divided into two individual sections, one above and one below, with other bits of information such as battery life and music. Because there is so much screen real estate, having additional information there with quicker access can be helpful.

Unfortunately, there is no indication of a large change in direction with how the information is displayed on the center or driver displays. There was some discussion about making the driver display slightly more information dense, and some additional applications being added to the infotainment screen by the development manager, but that's pretty much all we've gotten so far.

While I love the idea of customization, I've been pretty happy with the information layout. At any given time you can see battery info (driver screen), nav info, music info, time, outside temp, and climate info all at once. There is really not much more I'd like to see frequently other than trip efficiency info. Even when I use the center screen for something other than Nav, I still have my navigation info on the drivers screen. While not perfect, I feel like Rivian has done a great job on the layout of the 2 main screens.

I had to use my other car for a couple weeks this month while my R1T was getting repaired. I've always been a big fan of Android Auto (had it in all cars for over 7 years until R1T) but had not used it since Feb. I found AA super cluttered and a lot less easy to use than I remembered. While the smaller screen was a big factor, I appreciated Rivan's approach and was happy to get back in it.

I am ok without CarPlay/Android Auto, but having just picked up my car yesterday, that is a really big screen to use for a single topic. Would love for Audio on half/navigation on half. Would still be a great view. while I am still getting used to everything, but my wife made several comments on it. hopefully we get used to it.
