I've been trying to use Alexa/Spotify to listen to podcasts, and as inefficient as I find the process, it's generally doable on longer drives once I get the right playlist going. However, what is unacceptable (and I know this is a Spotify issue and not Rivian's fault) is that at the end of each episode I'll get 1-2 minutes of maximum volume ads, which both hurt the ears and I suspect are not great for the speakers. Is there any way to have commercials play at an appropriate volume?
Playing the same podcasts via Podcast Addict on my phone over BT gets rid of the ads, but I lose some control via the car, and also end up using phone data and battery. The signal is also worse in certain areas using phone vs car so it means the podcast cuts out. OK, as soon as I wrote that last part I realized I can use the car as a hotspot for the phone, but as my Connect+ trial comes to an end I'm not sure it's worth it to me to subscribe. Question still stands regarding excessive ad volume.
