I just got a full body stealth XPEL done on my launch green R1T. I found 30 raised bubbles that I can feel with my fingernail (they look white on the green paint). The installer said most will go away with time (that's fine) and said the ones that persist are likely "paint nibs" and he'll inject some paint into each "bubble" to take away the white appearance. To me, it feels/looks like debris under the film as they can't be flattened out with thumb pressure.
1. How many "bubbles" are people finding in new XPEL wrap?
2. Does injecting paint to hid the white area (due to the raised wrap) make sense at all? Seems like it's counter productive to what PPF is intended to do.
I've already paid and taken the truck home. We found a couple of the bubbles that he said he would deal with during the inspection, but it was snowing and a lot were missed. He's aware that there are about 30 of them, and said he'd "make it right", which I have no doubt he will try (reputable business).
Thanks.
