Steering wheel shimmy/vibration at higher speeds - looking for a solution (alignment is fine)

I had the same problem with my 23 R1T Max. Took it to Discount Tire's only to have the same problem. Took it back and they found one tire was off by 1.5 oz. They said the tech must not have put the tire on the spinner properly. R1T has been fine since.

My experience is Discount Tire is a little hit and miss on tire balancing. In fact, when I use them for rotations, I specifically have to tell them NOT to balance if I’m not getting a vibration.

They proactively balanced my wife’s car without it needing it last year and had to go back for a redo.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
