Hello my steering wheel vibrates/shakes at 65 mph and above. I have had the tires rotated and balanced. Any suggestions to get rid of the shake? thanks

If it didn't shake before, perhaps they did not do a good job of balancing your wheels. You might want to take them back and have that re-done.

Is this a brand new vehicle with very low mileage?

If so, it sometimes works it self out once you put a few miles on the tires.

If it's the 20" AT's.. there have been some "bad" ones that are just somewhat out of round/misshaped and need to be replaced.

Ask for a road force balance and then ask them for the print outs. The print out will show you how much road force variation you have. Sometimes a tire is defective or a wheel is out of round. A simple balance will not always detect these things.

Try a different tire shop with newer equipment. My first tire replacement at 31k gave an even better ride than the OEM . It was Discount Tire in Dubuque IA.
I took my Nissan Frontier in to the same shop and got new wheels and Scorpion ATs plus, but I then got that terrible shimmy that you have.
I took the truck to Nissan dealer for a second opinion with their new trusted equipment. Worked out fine for a a fee which I don't recall. It was a bad balance job.
Discount Tire checked and my Frontier was done on their oldest equipment which was being replaced. The Rivian was done on brand new tooling which is now in all three of their balancing stations.
Nothing worse than that shimmy at road speed.

I had to have my tire's road force balanced 4 times between Discount and Rivian to get the shimmy to go away.

My advice would be to get the road force #'s and pushback on anything above 25lbs. I had a wheel/tire that everyone claimed wouldn't balance (was about 45lbs of force) then a manager at a Discount tire took a shot at it (the most experienced guy in the shop apparently) and got the road force down to 2lbs and poof shimmy gone.

I got a revised heavier steering wheel and road force balancing couple times to remove the shaking beyond 65 mph.

Try another shop. Suspension issues can cause this, but you should rule out the alignment first. Also, when did it start? After balance and rotation? Or after an event like hitting something?

Need to revive this. I switched to Toyo open country at3 ev, and have this vibration at 65. Ran about 5000 miles and had tires rotated and balance check. Now it's doing it at 40mph! Guy originally told me it was a known issue with Rivian steering system. Road force was 15lbs they said. They have it back in shop now but idk?
