When I push the button to open the drivers side gear tunnel door, it'll open maybe 50-75% of the way but stops just short of being perpendicular to the ground. To confirm: you're trying to pull it open, right? Not expecting automatic full opening?
Got any pics? Video?
If you push it, will it go flat? When I push the button to open the drivers side gear tunnel door, it'll open maybe 50-75% of the way but stops just short of being perpendicular to the ground.

Oh that's weird. Can you see on the bottom hinge area if it's pressing against some cladding? That may be blocking it from dropping entirely and causing the rebound.Nope. I Can push and it'll dip down a little more but always comes back to previous position. Very strange.
Mine don't drop either. Just pop out a little then have to manually pull them down.Oh that's weird. Can you see on the bottom hinge area if it's pressing against some cladding? That may be blocking it from dropping entirely and causing the rebound.
My trimax gear tunnel doors don't drop AT ALL. If I hit the release, they just unlock and maybe extrude 2-3mm. I have to dig my fingers into the panel gap to pull them down (but they do go down fully flat).
Looks like it needs to be adjusted. Does it clear here?Nope. I Can push and it'll dip down a little more but always comes back to previous position. Very strange.
Did you see what he said was the problem?I am continually perplexed at how simple things like this are still not caught before delivery. And this is a Gen2 Quad! There really is no excuse for this...
After getting a better angle turns out a roll of dog poop bags had fallen into that hinge area. No idea how it got in there cuz there's no way I can see to get it out. Spent an hour trying to fish it out this evening.
I'll hit Rivian service tomorrow and see if they've got any ideas.
