Stumped - Configuration Changes Not Taking

I've had my truck since Feb 2023. Previously had a Tesla so familiar with EVs. Like the truck, though concerned about how much my wife likes it. But I digress.

I have had a few instances where I try to change the functional operation of the truck at exit - kneel, mirror folding, etc. However, when I change the preferences in the settings feature, sometimes they don't seem to take, and I have to make them multiple times. As an example, my mirrors are not currently folding once I park and exit the vehicle. The mirrors fold and unfold just fine when I ask the truck to do that function in isolation. I've changed the software settings -- moving the slider to "on" - but when I get back in the next time around the slider is in the "off" setting. I understand there are some instances where the truck is not going to allow you to have certain operational configurations -- let's us an easy example, you can't be in snow mode in the lowest ride setting.

So what am I doing wrong here? Honestly a bit stumped. That said, nothing here is mission critical to me. I live in a rural community so tight parking spaces are not exactly a problem.

Maybe try a soft reset.

The paddles on the steering wheel (where the knobs to turn the volume up or down), press both the outside ones and hold until the screen goes blank and the rivian logo comes on.

Maybe that will fix the issue.
