Surely a Charger this BIG is L3

The best way to find a fast charger is PlugShare, not looking for big cabinets.

Oh - I know. This was a "charge of opportunity" - not a planned stop. I had planned to go to an EA charger, but when I was taking my father to his eye appointment and saw the big cabinets I figured I'd plug in there instead. It was a good lesson for me. I also, in hindsight, should have noticed the absence of the large transformers that accompany L3 chargers. Live and learn!

I checked this out over the weekend. The stations in my local area are no longer free and show an error on the credit card reader.

That might mean it's not taking payment, out-of-service but not powered down. Shell too over ownership and whoever they contracted probably hasn't gotten around to removing it.
