I opened my tailgate from the center screen control the other day, and got a warning that the truck was on an incline and that might affect how the tailgate dropped. Nice touch!

I was wondering if there are other warnings like this:
1 - if the rear camera see something
2 - if the rear prox sensors detect nearby obstacles
3 - if trailer mode is activated, or trailer power is being drawn?

Unless they changed something in a recent update then no for something in the way. Over the summer I did the same from the screen and it dropped on my trailer jack top because I forgot to rotate it. Put a tiny dimple in the tailgate. Was able to get 95% of it out but still a bummer.

My tailgate just dropped onto the railing of. Parking structure spot I backed into. It sure how the gate release was activated. Minor scuff.

Seems like expanding the existing warning to include prox sensors and trailer hookups should be pretty easy, and beneficial in a lot of cases.
