Tesla charger in Calgary open to non-Tesla

The supercharger at 11th and Macleod Tr opened to non-teslas today. Would recommend using 1D or 3D if available since they are the only cabinets where you won’t block a charger but all the cabinets have the magic dock.

Charger peaked at 150kw and the app worked flawlessly. I can’t wait to get access to the full network next year.

Charged from 18-85%, added 91.9kw and cost $54.81

Nice. Doesn't show up on PlugShare or the Rivian app yet ...

The Magic Dock rollout has been going painfully slow. That's the first new site in like a month. Unlikely they will meet their commitment of 3500 by the end of 2024. Since March, they're currently added the Magic Dock to 36 sites total with an average of just 9.44 chargers at each site. That's less than 10% of the promise so far.

it’s $0.80/kWh which is very pricey.

With a $16.99/mo Tesla membership it drops down to the normal rate of $0.59/kWh

Live in Lethbridge, even with the cost of the membership i saved a couple dollars with the lower rate on that charge.

Yikes that's expensive! I'm heading to Canmore in January, but not as far as Calgary. Hopefully they add Magic Dock so I'm not entirely relying on Electrify Canada when I'm there.
