So my 2023 quad r1s is now only show total capacity of 122.3 kwh on teslafi. This number has been going down starting beginning of this year from 129.5 to this . Car is at 47500 miles
According to teslafi, I used to have 310 miles full charge around Jan of this year. Now it sits at 293. The quick degradation kind of get me worried.

My dual large 2024 r1t still show 130.4 with 18k miles

Probably due to temperature. Mine fluctuates as well. I'm down to 135.5 kwh today due to the temperature being in the teens. It'll come back up with the mercury.

I do wish ElectraFi would abandon the battery health metric as a function of miles remaining since Rivian broke the drive mode via the app/API back in August. Since the app/API always thinks the truck is in sport mode, the miles available metric no longer registers anyway.

What worried me the most is that it went down during the summer months as well. I'm in Texas and weather has been quite good this year . Lost 7 kwh in a span of 10 months

Ah, true it shouldn't drop in the summer. That said, the "battery report" in ElectraFi is all over the place. It largely doesn't seem to track reality as I've seen capacity go up this July/August past summer even compared to July/August of 2024.

I suppose you could see what Rivian says about the battery, but unless it's below a degradation threshold they're not likely to do anything.

I have a love/hate relationship with that battery metric on ElectraFi. It would shift by 1-2 kWh for me on a given day. Sometimes outside temp changed it, sometimes fast charging that day for a trip, sometimes it was just bored. What reduced the fluctuation (now its +/- 500 wH) was doing a couple of charges at my house to 100% about a month or so apart.

I think ElectraFi does some estimation based on your usual charge history to calculate battery capacity. If you regularly charge to only 70%, some error is introduced and ElectraFi runs with it.

Some degradation is also expected, but based on what I've read around the internet, it's around 2% or so the first year, and about 1%/yr thereafter. That is also dependent on how many equivalent full charge cycles the battery has gone through.

@Rivian Roamer has reported that there is no Energy to Empty or battery capacity data provided by Rivian, so his site does not track it. I have no idea how Electrifi comes up with that number, but I suspect it is not accurate and what you are seeing might not mean anything.

the number of total KWH is identical to ABRP app which owned by Rivian?
