Test Drive Atlanta is open for registration

So Roswell isn't the area? I'm in Marietta/Kennesaw (was in Marietta when the order was placed, moved to Kennesaw about a year ago, not sure which address Rivian is using). Maybe that's also not in the area? Cumming is maybe not in the area ? But Suwanee is in the area? We should all compare notes and see if we can figure out how they're swizzling this thing since it doesn't look like they're going to tell us.

Randomly. The only logic is that there is none. We all can guess but we'll never know. Main annoyance is that CS has no idea at all, can't even offer a "you're in the area" confirmation.

Well, they giveth and they taketh away. Test Drives aren't actually starting until Saturday, so I had to move my Friday test drive back. I'm doing it the following Saturday now (3/19). I think I just went from first to last.

Hey guys! Nice to see so many locals popping up. I'm a 9/1/2021 R1S order so I also do not have a calendar icon to schedule a test drive, but I did want to share the Atlanta Rivian Owners FB group for all to join and share their experiences. No pressure, of course, as I know not everyone here uses social media, but we're trying to grow the group and there are a lot more Atlanta folks in this thread alone than we've got in our little group. Hope to see some join requests this week!! Cheers and good luck to everyone getting their test drives this week! I'm sure the reports will be overwhelmingly positive!

Rivian sent out a survey for test drive awhile ago, I might have chosen R1S only, probably that could be the reason for not seeing the calendar icon

I'm located in Raleigh, NC. A decent drive to ATL, but still within the region...sort of. The option to reserve a test drive isn't available for me. Do we think that being somewhat nearby but not having the option means that they plan to have a closer First Mile event in the future? (CLT, RDU, maybe even as far as DC)

Or does it seem more likely that they just chose a distance and drew a radius out from ATL?

Based on past events, they are prioritizing a subset of customers that are within a small radius of the event.

That radius didn't even include all of the Atlanta burbs, apparently. Someone in Roswell was told they were out of bounds.

Highly unlikely for Johns Creek to be "in" and Roswell to be "out"

They are likely just batching invites and my conversations with cs are basically they have no idea how it works.

I get batching the invites but based on what? Distance? Order date? R1T/R1S?

It's a home test drive. They haven't announced an event as of yet.
