As a Wrangler owner, I find the wave annoying, and posts about "why don't people wave?" annoying. Especially with how common Wranglers are.

Agree 100%. Gladiator owners do it also... there are too many here in Denver.

SOON (variation)
Use an "F" hand and a double movement. Tap your chin twice.
Note: If you use a single, strong, motion and puff out the cheeks a bit this sign can mean "EXPERT."
Note: Some people tap the nose twice (instead of the chin).
Note: Some people use somewhat of a downward glancing movement when doing this sign.

The wave is a good thing, and I look forward to the Rivian Wave or, probably more correctly, the headlamp flash. I am a long time Airstreamer. We always flash each other. It's a good thing. I was, at one time in my life, a professional motorcycle rider. Motorcycle riders always acknowledge each other with a flash or a wave.

A few people tried this with Teslas back when they were still fairly new. Didn't really work out. I think it might be too late to start a new vehicle wave in any vehicle in which it doesn't already exist.

trying too hard. Just use ASL for letter R. If no response, drop your index finger…..

I never initiate a wave in the Jeep, but always return one.

I like to do the Spock Star Trek greeting in the Volvo but no one returns it. Usually just get confusion or laughs.

Is there going to be a Rivian wave that we fellow Rivian's flash to each other? I'm joking, only half serious, I currently have a Jeep Wrangler and I'm actually looking forward to not waving at every other vehicle that comes the other way. It's exhausting!
