Timeline after ordering?

I ordered an R1S Dual Max about 10 days ago and there is no word other than Configuration Confirmed. It still says delivery January-February. When will I get more information? What's the usual time line?

- Placed my order 9/19 (with a September/October delivery time frame given)
- Multiple text messages exchanged over the next several weeks - including a request for me to alter my build otherwise it would be several months (they couldn't get me an exact timeline) before my specific would be available
- First email I received from them apart from confirmation was 10/22 titled First Delivery Contact and it introduced me to the Salt Lake team
- Picked up the truck 11/4

If you are going to have a Rivian Home charger installed, order it now. It takes a long time for them to get shipped.

Hey Bob, it is weirdly silent for a while. It freaked me out a bit as well. I kept searching forums to try to figure out normal timelines and such.

Ordered late in the evening on July 30th.

Then, outside some conversations with customer service on interior color options, it was crickets until out of nowhere on October 9th, I get a text that says my R1T was in final assembly. So went through the steps to prepare for delivery, (trade-in info, insurance info, prearranged financing and so on).

Received a call on October 20th to schedule delivery. Scheduled for the 20th of November.

Received a text on the 12th that it came in early and I could pick it up as early as the 13th. I was out of town and picked it up on the 16.

So about three and a half months from putting in the deposit to driving it home.

As it happens I got a text while golfing yesterday. My R1S can be picked up Dec 30 in Phoenix. My build is very straightforward, Dual Max Silver with Ocean Coast. I think it will be about 5 weeks from Order to delivery.

Congrats Bob! That's great. I didn't realize you were in AZ as well. The people at the Phoenix location were all great so far.
