Dropped off my car for my fourth service appointment last Tuesday, got it back Thursday afternoon. The appointment was made soon after I got my car back last time.
The fix they implemented for the torsion bar didn't work so I reached back out. While waiting for the appointment, I ended up figuring out how to pop it back in myself but after it happened a few more times, I resorted to tying it in place w/ wire.
While waiting for the appointment to come around, ended up adding a few items and settled on the following laundry list, again all minor, nothing affecting drivability/usage. Their fixes included below:
As always, been four for four in terms of having fantastic experiences with the staff at the Costa Mesa Service Center. I know they get a bad rap but I honestly haven't had any crazy bad experiences so want to give them their due. Car never sat, repairs were all satisfactory, they actually care and never dismissed any of the issues I brought up. In fact they were sticklers for certain fixes more than I was.

While waiting for the appointment to come around, ended up adding a few items and settled on the following laundry list, again all minor, nothing affecting drivability/usage. Their fixes included below:
- Torsion bar issue
- They noted that they adjusted the tension, removed my wire job.
- Apparently the bracket was bent so they replaced it.
- Liftgate: They adjusted it after delivery to close the gap, but was a smidge too tight. On hot days when the car is baking in the sun, the plastics expand and you can hear an audible pop as the panels rub together as you open the liftgate.
- They adjusted it back out, I can see a gap through the car but better that the trim rubbing against each other.
- Camp Speaker: I had some minor issues with it the first time I used it (9 months into ownership), think I finally figured it all out by the time the appointment came around. I think it's just a poor design that the speaker doesn't ever turn off?
- They insisted on swapping it out for another unit. Haven't tested the new unit yet.
- Portable Charger Recall: My service advisor, Julian at Costa Mesa (was terrific in comms and a stickler for addressing my issues even though I said they were minor) called the day before my service and told me about the recall, think they replaced a few seals , etc. I have two sets (one purchased aftermarket to leave at my in-laws) and I think they worked on the one that came with the vehicle.
- Tings/squeaks coming from the front end when turning the wheel at low speed, mentioned this in a prior post. It was not the same hub issue as before. They actually wanted to replace the subframe but I held off for now because that sounded like a pretty big invasive job and aside from the sound, I'm not experiencing drivability issues. So there'll be another service visit, hopefully in the distant future. For now I can live with the noise.
