Will be looking forward to that one. Won't have a truck for a good long while, but have been trying to figure out what the best way to mount one will be. That and CB since it still gets used quite a bit in group trail runs.
CB - also in works… :p

Ugh, sorry. Took a snap of the behind the panel but lost it….

Two sections:

the section that houses the bed cover tracks is aluminum - top 8 inches…

rest is not sure what metal (painted) prob steel

there’s abt 1/4 of room behind the raised sections of panel. Panel itself is abt 4-5mm thick.

there’s also a ~10mm hole with a grommet on it to get through the rear wall into the cab. Future video on ham radio antenna will cover that….
I imagine that painted metal is the chassis and somewhere there is service access to the tonneau stacker or does your truck not have the hard retractable tonneau?

Hopefully less competent DIYers will see this thread before sending self-tappers into that plastic panel … : )

I love the packout system. I did this to organize all my tools and parts. Used 3/4 ply in the bed to avoid drilling. Ladder lay’s diagonal to allow cover to close.

somebody asked for pic with all panels off so included it as well
