Every vehicle I've owned for as long as I can remember had a way to permanently display the current trip time and miles driven on the dash or touch UI. Not only does Rivian not seem to have this feature but the trip meters are buried deep in the menu.

Is there any chance in the near future the trip meters will be fixed and any chance we'll ever get a "this trip" meter that can be put on the dash without taking my eyes off the road to deep dive the menu?

I would like to have trip meters on driver display as well.

If you go to the drive mode screen and swipe left the trip meters are included with all the cool gauges.

Current trip and since charge would both be oh-so-nice.

Would be nice if they added to the left wheel buttons. Right now you can only cycle thru map, energy and tire pressure.

I like this option. Actually, they could add other things to that cycle as well, such as a CLOCK big enough for a far sighted old guy to be able to read or what is playing on the "radio".

I don't know about "deeply buried." You can have them on screen all the time if you want.?‍♂

That's fine as long as you don't want to use nav at the same time.

Seems like this solution is what the OP was asking for and the Nav map can also be brought up on the left screen at the same time if you need both exact distance from a point and a map to get to a specific spot. For me that's the only scenario where I'd want a trip meter readily visible. Certainly people have different needs though. For me the distance to empty is a little too small on the display so I've got a different gripe, lol. I guess I'll be leaving the energy screen up, haha. The touch screen is a pain to use while driving. Even passengers have to steady themselves to get the clicks first time on anything but a freeway.
