Tunein not working

Does anyone have problems with Tunein in your R1T? Ours is not working. Called Rivian's service center number. No one has complained yet.
An aside: Why would the radio in a $87000 R1T need to be invoiced yearly to work? Our radio plan is not up until April 2024. Something is really inappropriate with that idea!

Used TuneIn in mine yesterday and it worked as usual. Not sure what you mean about the yearly invoicing? I already had a TuneIn subscription and when I bought my R1T I just log in with my current subscription.?‍♂

After installing the latest Rivian vehicle software release, 2023.42.1, you might need to sign into your TuneIn account again.

The TuneIn app on the Rivian doesn't *require* an account to use. You do get 1 free year of *premium* if you sign up, but you don't have to sign up.

I just upgraded our R1T to v2023.42.1 and found that the free version on TuneIn Radio disappeared and was prompted to purchase a premium subscription. However, I was able to set up a free TuneIn subscription.

To answer your question, though - TuneIn is not the same as FM radio (which is free). It is internet-based and, apparently, TuneIn Radio started to charge for an ad-free subscription at some point. Ads are kind of annoying but I tested the android app on my phone yesterday and the ads were not all that frequent.

Mine has cut out twice. Sits there spinning the circle and says "buffering". Just did a soft reset when I exited this morning in hopes of it working again when I return. This is the 2nd time that's happened in a month.
