TWRAPS 22” Wheel Vinyl Install

Just thought I would share photos of TWRAPS 22” wheel vinyl install on El Cap R1S.

One side complete thus far. Took me about 1 hr per wheel.

A couple of the larger spoke pieces didn’t cover 100% on one wheel. Maybe some inconsistency in the machine finish. Not too noticeable.

Seems like a good product and I like that you can easily go back to the OE look.

Looks good. I've been on the fence for this mod for a while. Now that my 22 brights are off, I might finally do it. I do want the Gun Metal color, which seems to be out of stock. I guess durability is a concern also... not so much about the material, but just about how long they stick.

At only $100 it’s a low risk mod. Just takes an afternoon and some patience. Gunmetal would be interesting. My concern is you have to be even more precise with install. Benefit of the black is the pieces are fractionally wider which gives some wiggle room to be a little off.

I'm not worried about the cost, just the time involved. I have a backlog of car mods in the queue for my OTRs (Other Than Rivians).

Good point about the black on black factor but I do like the OE "dark" wheel look which is two-toned. I'm hoping the Gun Metal provides a reasonable approximation.

I agree the two tone factory look on OE darks looks nice. Would love to see pictures if you get the opportunity to do gunmetal vinyl.

We can totally do that...the reason we don't generally offer it is that the 22" wheels are not in that color, so the gun metal won't be a great match. The black one is though. But if you want them in gun metal I can do it as a custom order, just DM me and we will set it up ??

I know this is for the 22s, but I recently came across a good deal on a set of 20” AT brights. I wanted the darks, but those are hard to come by and I certainly didn’t want to pay $5300 + tax from Rivian. Twraps to the rescue with their gun metal kit. Super easy install for someone that has never applied vinyl to anything. I missed the BF sale (probably should have waited a week), but still happy with the purchase and feel like it’s a good value. Time will tell how it holds up, but as of right now…I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

I removed the vinyl on a couple spokes I decided to redo. Definitely no residue. Just like new underneath.
