Colorado - Colorado Parks and Wildlife - Barr Lake State Park

Went and used this charger today while we enjoyed the lake. This is inside the state park, so for out of state people, there is a $10 entry fee. And for us Colorado Residents, you either have to have the state parks pass applied to your registration, or pay the same $10 entry fee.

I have the thing on my plates, but have not gotten my plates yet, so I had to pay the $10 entry fee.

It charges at 11.2 kWh. I did not watch the charging curve, or see what the miles per hour gain was. But I did get 8%? (I think) of my charge back in 43 mins. The charger is free because it is on state parks property. My Rivian App indicates that it was 7kWh and 16 miles.

I was previously dismissive of why Rivian was putting RANs at shopping malls in large cities.

Last weekend I had to travel from Seattle to Portland with my son for a baseball tournament. The RAN is right off interstate 205 and it was so nice to get a charge after we arrived on the Friday and charged up enough Saturday afternoon to get home again on Sunday.

It was so nice just to plug and charge and get reliable and high charging speeds.

Is there a way to recommend or request RAN locations to Rivian? Fairplay CO is a pretty major mountain travel junction and it only has two ChargePoint chargers which are almost always in use and often one is out of order. I have a feeling this summer there's going to be long lines.
