Unlocking Rivian with iPhone app

Not sure if anyone else has this experience when using the iPhone app to unlock truck. The truck goes to sleep, but it you approach it and tap on the door, car will wake up and unlock. I find I just walk up to it, Tap on the panel and it unlocks. LMK if anyone else finds this useful.

Many people have had this problem to include me. Mine works great now, after I deleted my phone as a key. Then reapplied as my key. Once in a blue moon, when I walk up to my R1T it may take an extra second. Especially if my phone is in my pocket I hope this helps. If you can’t find how to delete phone let me know.

Are you sure this isn't just coincidence or is there some type of security theft type of sensor that is detecting this tap?

oh thanks. But I actually like it not opening ever time I pass it. Like it that I can tap it and it wakes up.

I believe its the security system waking up.

This is definitely not a thing. Sounds purely coincidental.
