Unused cables in rear bumper

Does anyone know what these 2 cables are here for? They look like heavy gauge wire (maybe 4 or 6 gauge) with copper or brass eye connectors taped off. There’s red tape on one indicating possible power cables of some sort; maybe for an accessory.
They are tucked into a tray, right of center. I discovered these after pulling off the rear bumper fascia to replace it.

Those are connected to the 12v batteries up in the front. If those batteries ever become depleted, this is where you can charge them.

Interesting. I should have checked them with a meter. The ends were not taped off completely, so they could definitely short in there (either with each other or with the bumper)

There's no power on those wires until you put some on.
