Unusual roof glass break pattern

Was giving a tour of my truck today and I pointed up to show the roof glass to discover the it was broken. It’s broken in the front just above the rear view mirror. It’s the shape of a large hand tossed pizza. There’s also a few cracks out to the edge too. I can feel the broken glass on the inside glass, but the outer layer is not broken.

Really hard to see in photo, but posting anyway.

Sent a note to service today via the app.

Let us know what Rivian says. That pattern seems really odd; almost like there was some tension or stress in it.

True, Ms Kim really wants Rivian to be successful but is definitely shilling for Tesla.

Update:

Rivian warrantied the roof glass, I had to push a bit and get it escalated, but it was the interior glass side, and I don't juggle hammers while I'm driving. They came thru though, and I'm really happy about that, the repair would've been $2,100.

You never tried to stand up on the center console? Doubt.

I cracked mine just leaning on the corner with my knee while loading some lumber onto the rack. I asked twice but my guide wouldn’t tell me what kind of glass the roof is made of. It sounds like laminated safety glass like a windshield. If it was tempered like side windows it would have turned to cubes. My insurance covered it all.
