Question to if anyone else has had this occur. Truck has been parked at airport all week. I did get notified with a push that the new 2023.38.0 update is available on phone, of course did NOT update it being there and out of town.

Got back today though and started truck and go airbag system needs service, ACC not available until serviced, and my audio was wacky - now it is loud at like #3/4 level instead of where was at like 12/13 levels. Adjusted that a bit down on EQ and its ok some.

It seems as though my truck updated itself, and didn't finish while I was gone. It has the new drive mode view, etc. My phone still says an update is pending though. I got home and tried to start the update from phone but nothing happens, times out and button becomes press-able again. The truck inside shows no update pending. Have done a hard reboot, etc.

Rivian says they can't push out updates and shows pending on their side - ug. Did anyone else's do this for this update? Sucks. Either have to schedule service 1.5 hours away, know it will take days probably, thus 6 hours of drive to fix this overall... or wait say 4-5 weeks for the next update perhaps.

Never had that issue. But have updated 2 updates in the past while I was out of town and truck was at the airport. I always figure, truck is sitting and a wont need it for the next hour or week.

sorry this has happened.

My R1S was in my garage for this update. The update also failed on mine and completely killed the 12V battery. Mobile service just came out and replaced the battery (which looks like a motorcycle battery). The tech was unable to manually install the update, but I just received the notification that it updated automatically. Your vehicle sounds like the 12V battery might be low. The vehicle will do all kinds of crazy things. Look up in the online manual how to trickle charge the 12V battery. It is fairly easy.

Hmmm have the Halloween Gary, and still shows 2023.34 as well on app. Can't wait for 2023.42 or so to see if can fix stuff. If it even downloads.

Is your phone app updated as well? Did you try a hard reboot of your vehicle?
