I bought this https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256...der_detail.order_detail_item.3.4cf5f19cpiVeiq and used the 12v powering the wireless charger to power it. I wrapped it in an electrically isolating tape and embedded it into the wireless charger so I could still use it for structure. It registers as super fast charging on my Android phone and measured 20W. I cut a small section off the back corners of the wireless charging mat for the cables to come out. It's pretty clean since the cables can also be tucked away into the center console if needed. I also bought some USB C/A https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256...der_detail.order_detail_item.2.3777f19chNUVLx converters to charge other things.

Hey! This is a really clean setup. Which brand are these? Looks like the Spigen logo but I can’t find the one with the mount you have them on. Mind sharing the link? I’m mainly interested in the driver one.

I suggest this; those are both MagSafe charge pucks

The mounts are the every amp 17 mm ball behind screen mounts.

Then I’m using two different Spigen products to achieve the driver side -

Spigen w/ Detachable Arm One Tap for the extender.
I’m using the old 17 mm ball mount Spigen MagSafe charger puck but I don’t believe they sell it anymore. At least I can no longer find it amongst their product listings. At least I can no longer find it amongst their product listings.

All of this is powered by a fuse, tap with a USB-C buck converter charger to provide power for both of the Spigen MagSafe chargers.

This is awesome - did you buy the harness end to plug into OEM connection?
I already had wiring like https://a.co/d/aeGm4Z2 around. Also I bought a few of the charging units in case one broke since they were cheap. One did end up breaking on one port but it wasn't the one I installed in the car at least.

Thank you.

Do you have the MagSafe pucks connected to the 12V outlet under the dashboard? Or did you figure out another way?

I don’t have the 12V outlet, I wonder if the wiring is still there to tap into. Do you know?

It is absurd that a $100,000 ADVENTURE vehicle no longer provides a 12v or USB outlet to plug in a a)full-feature dashcam; b) gopro type camera to record the adventure; c) a CB radio to communicate with other adventurers on the trail; d)radar detector; e) any other gadget that might be needed to enhance or adventure experiences. And for R1S campers and off-roaders, there is nothing to power up a light or fan in a pop-up tent, nothing to power off-road external lights and nothing to power up a rooftop cooler. Apparently after 20,000 vehicles produced, the savings from a 12v outlet must have made a difference in overall profitability, very sad. I am a huge believer in Rivian, love and promote whenever i can, but COME ON NOW.... I didn't pay all this money to have to tear my car apart and become an electrical engineer to install a simple 12v, which in turn would void any warranty. And if you think that Rivian doesn't know when you splice into their system and drain from non-factory add-ons, then you may want to call and get that verified
