Is there any reason why certain wheel configurations aren't available depending upon whether you choose the underbody guards or not?

Seems like rivian is optimizing how they do builds, want an off-road esque rivian; you get off road wheels/tires and underbody shield, less mix and match

I was able to grab a truck from the shop with 20 inch wheels and no underbody shield. That’s a way around it.

I don't understand all the recent confusion about this, because Rivian made this change 9 months ago?
