I keep it simple when car camping and just use the tailgate with an induction burner. I haven’t found anything better for coffee than to heat water and do a pour over. Now, if I can just figure out why my R1S smells like scallions.

Exactly why I made mine integrated but independent of the vehicle! Though who doesn't love scallion smell haha

@kanundrum, your setup looks great. Pictures are inspiring but please add details. Do you have a water tank under there? Do you have folding table legs under the plywood? What sink are you using?

Man these are elaborate. We either cook on a fire with a cast iron skillet or I bring an instant pot/air fryer.

A bespoke slide out kitchen/pantry with 2 induction cooktops. It has worked really well for us on several long road trips. We also use a Jetboil to quickly heat water.

I've got the same cooler.

We've been on the road camping for the past 3 weeks. Took the trusty Coleman propane stove, but also grabbed an induction burner and small air fryer from our sailboat. Have to say that the air fryer has been a surprising game changer this trip, allowing us to actually broil and bake.

@Budman : I dig your slide out kitchen setup. Do you have any design/plans you care to share with the crowd?

I wasn't about to spend $1400 on the tailgate kitchen or even $3500 for the Japanese Chuck Box especially being imported. So I built my own for $200.

Homemade version of the camp kitchen. induction cooktop, sink, and the mini toaster oven too.

Thats dope AF. I wanted to do this but since my little one and my terrible carpentry skills I just could hack it. Maybe soon, nice job looks super clean.

I was in the middle of building my own set up when life kids and a Duramax swap on my Hummer put this project on hold for now.
