Good evening everyone.

I must be doing something wrong on the air compressor. I got a pressure washer and all the stuff to go with it so I could wash my R1T and had planned on using the air compressor to blow of the water. I even got a blow gun for the end because I had heard the end that is used on the stock hose doesn't give much pressure.

1). my issue was I could not figure out how to keep it at a constant blowing of air when i had the trigger pulled on the blower. It would let out a quick gust of air then stop. Am ii doing something wrong?

Thanks as always. Not used to an air compressor so sure it is something easy I am missing.

I believe the R1T compressor is tankless and works on a "pump and measure" principle. To do what you want, you need a compressor with a small tank to build up pressure and volume of air.

FWIW, you can simply uncouple the pressure washer hose at both ends then elevate one end with the other end on the ground coiling it up from the high end as you go... that will get all the water out of the hose.

Just drop the $299 and get the EGO 56v electric 650CFM leaf blower at Lowes. It’s fantastic and what I use to dry my cars after hand washing. I think he is trying to get the water off the car (dry it) not out of the hose.

Try pushing the start button twice on the compressor. Once seems to tell it to inflate to the set pressure and twice seems to turn it on for continuous use. I can’t say for certain this is how it is designed, but the couple of times I’ve used mine it has behaved this way.

I had not thought of that. I do have an electric leaf blower. maybe I should try that.
This video is 2 years old from Obsessed Garage, but the principal is the same. They have have much stronger airflow ones than these now. Recommend.

if you want to use the compressor for that, you’re going to need an air tank. You can inflate that with the compressor then attach the air hose from the tank to your air gun.

Oh..lol

Well, then I agree w/others the electric leaf blower is the right tool for that ;)

It is still important to properly drain your pressure washer hoses though.

Yes, alas. You are trying to use a compessor which is desiged for very low volume to provide a high volume to blow away water. What you have to do to make this work at all is only partially open the valve on the blow gun. This is going to be hard to do. You might try installing a needle valve between the hose and the gun. This will get you steady (if low volume) flow. I thought that Rivian was supplying an attachment that incorporated valve and nozzle for just this application
