R1T, my wife and I have phones with different providers (mint, verizon). It's not clear to me what the signal bars in the upper right of the screen show. My phone is not always on when I am driving. Today, we passed a tower and my wife's phone showed all bars, but the truck showed only one. The driver was set to me, but my phone wasn't on. What is the signal it is indicating?

They may be on a different network than your phone.

It’s showing the signal strength of the truck’s built-in cell connection. It connects to AT&T.

Thanks, that explain it. Most phones and towers around here are Verizon or T-mobile.
