Have you tried alien tape?

I bought an after market drawer for under the dash. The unit came with double sided tape, that lasted about an hour. Alien Tape about a day. I ended up using two very short aluminum pan screws (3/4") up through the bottom of the shelf case, combined with the Alien Tape, and it's been in place ever since. Nice to have the extra storage cubby.

This is the way, but too many people are afraid to drill into their dash.

Honestly, I was terrified that I would drill into a (non-existent), but they went in quick and smooth.

I'll drill if I know I want a permanent solution. Usually I'm more wishy-washy about stuff like mounting locations.
