I am in Southern California. I like the looks of the 22 brights, so I got them.

All this being said, I am considering getting the @EV Sportline R1000 wheels with BFG Trail Terrains in 275/60/20 to replace my OEM 21's. I had those on my 2003 Tacoma and loved them. 115 SL is good, ya?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Everything Mathme said above.

Once I figured that out, I knew I wanted the 20" (forged) wheels. Then when a Launch Edition R1T that matched my preferred build showed up in the shop, it was a no brainer. As long as it doesn't have the "all terrain upgrade" which includes spare and Reinforced Underbody (which they charge full price for even on LE), you're getting the 20" wheels for free on LE. Add in the fact that I was also able to get my preferred Forest Edge interior, also free on LE (normally $2000), and I saved an extra $3800 vs my already pre 3/1/22 pricing.

Mine also has the RUS but unfortunately that's a $2000 option on LE vs $1700 for early pricing Adventure, so I did take a $300 hit there but still $3500 less than same config would have cost me if I made it my order.

I don't think Forest Edge was a free option under Launch Edition.

The screenshot I took below had it all broken out and includes the free wheel upgrade.

This specific VIN was one of the models I was tempted to snag but passed due to the $2,000 charge on Forest Edge. I prefer ocean coast as an interior and wanted to save my upgrade funds for underbody shield and paint.

Yep, FE was a paid-for-option, it was Ocean Coast interior that was a free upgrade back in the day.

Weird FE is included free on my LE R1T. Maybe they changed this for the S?

I could have saved another $1500 with same build but Launch Green, but I reeeeeally wanted Forest Green so was willing to pay for that.

OC was free as an option for pre March 2022 Adventure Edition orders (like mine), while FE is a $2000 option. But in the R1 shop Launch Editions can be found with free FE (and 20"wheels). So that's what I ended up going with. Too good of a value vs waiting and paying way more for Max Pack with a lot less included options, 2 less motors, less modes etc.

Thanks to all for the helpful responses. A few more questions about the change however.

How is the ride quality with 20" tires generally compared to the 21"?

On a related noted, my initial inclination is to stay with the 275/65R20 size for the A/S tires, which would seem to provide decent handling and reasonable comfort, but also has the advantage of not requiring any system recalibration. I see that several folks have gone with the 60R profile and wonder if (or how much) that smaller aspect ratio negatively impacts ride quality and improves handling. Put another way, would going with a 275/60R20 tire be worth the added hassle and cost of getting things recalibrated or alternatively, putting up with the speedo & top view camera errors that the tire induces?

Downsizing from 21 to 20 will make for a smoother ride, a bit. Not as huge as going from 21 to 18, but a step toward smoother. (BTW, 18" is impossible, brakes are in the way).
